Aysun Kahraman, PhD, MS

Project Coordinator

Aysun Kahraman, PhD, MS serves as the Project Coordinator at WHSC Office of Well-Being (EmWELL). She brings over fifteen years of experience as a scholar and business professional, with a background in program and project management, business consultancy, and scientific research. She holds a PhD in Business Administration, an MS in Operations Management & Marketing, and a BS in Business Administration. She completed postdoctoral research at Georgia State University’s J. Mack Robinson College of Business.


Dr. Kahraman specializes in the design and execution of research through rigorous data collection and analysis, employing both quantitative and qualitative methodologies. She has led numerous interdisciplinary programs and projects with a structured and purpose-driven approach, applying established management frameworks to guide planning, execution, and evaluation. Beyond her program/project leadership experience, she has held departmental leadership roles, managing cross-functional teams and advancing strategic initiatives. Drawing on her formal training, she integrates data-driven decision-making with proven strategic tools and techniques. She emphasizes aligning departmental and organizational priorities with measurable performance indicators such as OKRs and KPIs, driving sustained operational and strategic improvement. In addition, she has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, and conference papers, and actively contributes as a reviewer and editor for academic publications.

With extensive international experience, she has worked in the United States, Italy, and Turkey, collaborating with professionals and institutions across Europe. Dr. Kahraman holds multiple certifications spanning project management, public health, quality improvement, Lean Six Sigma, organizational psychology, well-being, and UX research.

Her personal and research interests include psychology, communication, well-being, and sustainability.
